Representatives from Rutgers University, the State University of New Jersey, toured New Jersey farms with innovative agricultural practices and WoodsEdge was chosen as one of the featured farms. Dr. Robert Goodman, Executive Dean of Agriculture brought his entire staff, as well as County Agent Emeritus and former Secretary of Agriculture Art Brown, to WoodsEdge Wools Farm. The Dean and his staff hoped to learn more about alpacas as a sustainable form of agriculture and they were particularly interested in the end products farm owner Linda Berry Walker has developed from American alpaca.
